Our sourcing promise

A curated showcase, sourced with heart

We think trust in handmade work is built on being plain about how it is made, who made it, and how it comes to you. Here is exactly how we work — no fine print.

We are a showcase, not a marketplace

Made with Jai curates and presents the work of Thai artisans — we do not run a marketplace, and there is no cart or checkout here. When a piece speaks to you, your interest comes to us as a note, and a real person replies. This lets us keep each request personal, confirm what is genuinely available, and give makers the time their work needs.

We know where every piece comes from

Every piece on this site is tied to a specific artisan or workshop we have met and worked with, and we tell you the place and technique behind it — the indigo dyer, the mudmee weaver, the basket-maker. We believe you should know how and where the thing you live with was made. If we cannot stand behind a piece's origin, we do not show it.

Requests come to us, personally

Because these pieces are handmade in small numbers, we handle interest by hand:

Guide prices are shown in US dollars to give you a sense of the work and the maker's time. They are indicative, never a live buy price, and final pricing on a made-to-order or commissioned piece is agreed with you before anything begins.

Honest about handmade and made-to-order

Handmade means variation, and made-to-order means time — and we would rather tell you than hide it. Colours shift between dye batches, weaves carry the maker's hand, and many pieces are woven or dyed only after you inquire. We state the honest character and lead time of each piece up front, so what arrives is what you pictured, when you expected it.

No fake reviews, ever

We do not invent star ratings, review counts, or testimonials, and we do not run false discounts or urgency on work that took a person weeks to make. If we describe a piece, it is from having handled it and known its maker. That honesty is the whole promise — everything else is just cloth.
