A note on the photography: these images show the craft and its character, not the exact piece — every one is woven by hand, so yours will differ a little.
Not everything needs to be grand to be made with care. This little pouch is hand embroidery at pocket size — running Lanna motifs worked onto a small panel of cotton, naturally dyed with plants in the northern craft tradition of Chiang Mai.
Inside there is a cotton lining and a smooth zip; outside there is the slight, honest unevenness of stitches pulled by hand. It is sized for the useful things — cards, a lipstick, earbuds, the small clutter of a day — and it is the kind of gift that carries obvious thought.
Each one is embroidered by hand to order, so the motif on yours belongs only to yours.
Wipe clean or hand-wash cold and lay flat to dry, so the embroidery keeps its shape.
