The story

One deep indigo cushion can change the temperature of a whole sofa. The cotton is handwoven and dipped in a natural kram vat again and again until the blue reaches full depth — the same slow process behind the scarves, scaled to a square you can rest against.

The front is the hand-dyed cloth in full; the back is kept plain, with a hidden zip so the cover comes off to wash. Against pale linen or grey it does the quiet work of a single strong color in a calm room.

Each cover is handwoven and naturally dyed to order in Sakon Nakhon, so its exact blue is its own.

Wash cold and separately the first time to let the indigo settle; the tone only grows richer with age. Cover only — insert not included.

What to love

  • Deep hand-dyed indigo that anchors a neutral room
  • Handwoven cotton front with a plain back and hidden zip
  • Colour develops character rather than fading over time

Good to know

  • Made to order, so it is begun after you ask — typically 3–5 weeks, and longer in the busy season or for especially fine work.
  • Cover only; may release a little indigo on the first cold wash
